Helmeted Guinea Fowl (Numida Meleagris)

This is larry my helmeted guinea fowl. The pattern in their feathers is amazing. These have been breed into several color varieties including Lavender, Blues, Chocolates, Whites, and many more.

My wife found this guy crawling on the clothes line. Of course I had to immediately run and grab the camera to start taking photos. After his photo session I returned him to the nearest host plant I assume he came from and wished him well.
